Homework:
Homework across the 5th grade is going to look a bit different this year.
Reading - Students are to read at least 20 minutes every night and write a short response. The reflection response can be in their agendas, on notebook paper or on an organizational chart. I have distributed a set of questions students can pick from each night to guide their reflections.
Writing - Students should practice working with their spelling words nightly. They have class spelling tasks that will be due each Friday. If students do not complete the tasks at school, they are to bring them home to finish.
Math - Math will be given on Wednesday nights. If we have a math test on a Wednesday the homework will go home on Thursday for that week.
